Jerome “Rome” Precilla has built a career defined by versatility, passion, and an unwavering commitment to Caribbean culture. His journey began with a natural talent for performance, which steadily evolved into a multifaceted path spanning music, television, radio, acting, entrepreneurship, and leadership within Trinidad and Tobago’s entertainment industry.

From early days on stage, Rome’s magnetic presence set him apart. As a singer and live event host, he quickly became one of Trinidad and Tobago’s most recognizable entertainers — a personality whose voice, energy, and authenticity resonate with audiences at home and across the region.

Rome’s evolution into television was a pivotal chapter in his story. He is the Creator, Lead Executive Producer, and Host of the groundbreaking fashion reality series Carnival Catwalk, which premiered on Peacock in August 2025, as well as the Creator and Executive Producer of The Ultimate Soca Champion, the Caribbean’s leading soca singing reality show. His ability to merge creativity with production excellence highlights his commitment to elevating regional stories on global platforms.

His international visibility expanded even further when he joined the main cast of VH1’s award-winning reality series Girls Cruise, appearing alongside global icons Lil’ Kim, Mýa, and Chilli of TLC, as well as comedians B. Simone and Pretty Vee from MTV’s Wild ’N Out.

This milestone marked another significant step in Rome’s global journey, showcasing Caribbean talent on an international stage.

Rome’s path is equally grounded in discipline and academic achievement. He holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering Asset Management, a BSc in Mechanical Engineering, and professional training in On-Screen Acting from the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in Los Angeles. His diverse background reflects both his creative depth and his commitment to continuous growth.

Beyond the spotlight, Rome is an accomplished entrepreneur and industry leader. He is the Co-Founder of Lit 102.3 FM, one of Trinidad and Tobago’s premier radio stations; Quik Slice Pizza, a thriving food enterprise; and SocaHub Events, a creative hub dedicated to cultural experiences. He also served a four-year term as President of the Trinidad and Tobago Promoters Association, where he championed the interests and development of the entertainment sector.

Today, Rome continues to push boundaries through his music, productions, and cultural advocacy. His journey — grounded in authenticity, ambition, and Caribbean pride — remains a true reflection of his commitment to inspire, innovate, and uplift the region’s creative landscape.

A Multifaceted Talent

Rome is one of Trinidad and Tobago’s most recognized entertainers — celebrated for his versatility across music, television, and live events. As a Soca Parang artist, he has become a seasonal favourite, with multiple hits that fuse festive rhythm and clever double entendre. In 2020, he made history as a Double Soca Monarch Finalist, and in 2019, he secured 4th place in the Chutney Soca Monarch Finals. His collaboration with Ravi B, “D Key”, earned him the Urban Music Award for Best Soca/Chutney Collaboration in 2018.

Entrepreneurial Spirit

Rome is also an entrepreneur and innovator. He is the Co-Founder of Lit 102.3FM, one of Trinidad’s leading urban radio stations, as well as SocaHub Events and Quik Slice Pizza. Holding a Master’s degree in Engineering Asset Management and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the West Indies, he blends creative flair with business acumen — embodying the next generation of Caribbean leadership.

On Screen and On Air

Beyond music, Rome’s charisma shines on screen and over the airwaves. He has hosted TV programs on CNC3, TV6, Synergy TV, and CTV, and is one of Trinidad’s most sought-after corporate and wedding hosts, with over 100 weddings hosted to date. Currently, he co-hosts the top-rated “Morning Pump” radio show on Boom Champions 94.1FM, energizing the nation’s morning drive with laughter, culture, and conversation.

In 2019, Rome gained international attention on VH1’s hit reality series Girls Cruise, appearing in all 11 episodes alongside Grammy-winning icons Lil’ Kim, Mýa, and Chilli (of TLC), and comedians B.
